Cross Country teams compete in Ray Dwyer Invitational

PROVIDENCE, R.I - The Bryant University men's and women's cross country teams competed at Rhode Island College's Ray Dwyer Invitational over the weekend with the men placing first overall and the women earning a fourth-place finish.

Four members of the men?s team placed in the top 10 led by senior Caleb Paul who cross the line in 1st place, with at time of 27:24. Senior Jared Nelson captured 5th place in 28:31 while freshman teammate Alan Waters was 9th (28:45).

Sophomore Andrew Holmes took tenth overall for the Bulldogs with a total time of 28:46 followed by freshmen Tom Casey (28:55), Justin Getts (28:55), Brian Ford (28:58) and seniors Steve Barone (29:16), Jeff Britton (29:22), senior Steve Carr (29:32).

On the women?s side, sophomore Nicole Radzik took second place with a time of 19:24, trailing only Coast Guard's Joellen Arons, who took first place honors in a time of 18:30. Junior Sandra Greene finished 18th, with a time of 22:13 followed by junior Stephanie Rosen who clocked in at 22:18.

The Bulldogs will return to action this Saturday (Oct. 1) with the annual Bryant Invitational. The women?s race starts at 11:00 AM followed by the men?s begins at 11:45 am.
