BRONX, N.Y. – The Bryant men’s and women’s cross country teams competed in the Fordham University Invitational at 11:00 AM this Saturday, 17th, in Bronx, N.Y. The Bryant men finished 5th while the women placed 8th.
For a second time senior Caleb Paul led the way for the Bulldogs, finishing 18th in 28:30, while sophomore Andrew Holmes posted 24th with 29:23. He was followed by freshman Alan Waters, who placed 29th with 29:44. Jeff Britton (36), Steve Barone (38), Tom Casey (48), Jared Nelson (51), Justin Getts (60), Steve Carr (61), Eric Haywood (76), Jezef Gallot (77), and Corey Chapman (79) rounded out the field for the men.
Edinboro College of Pennsylvania was the overall winner followed by host Fordham, and Rhode Island. The Bulldogs capitalized over Northeast-10 Conference rivals, Southern Connecticut, St. Rose, and Pace. In the individuals, Bryant’s sophomore Nicole Radzik, ranked 20th with a 21:12. Teammate Jennifer Goodwin placed 38th, by clocking 22:22. Freshman Lindsey Tunak earned 40th with 22:48. Sandra Greene (46), Stephanie Rosen (47), Kara Tranquillo (55), Casey Fenwick (67), Samantha Clenatossio (68), controlled the track. The Bulldogs placed 8th as a team out of 22 schools competing at Fordham.
The Bulldogs will return to action on September 24th, when they travel to Rhode Island College in Providence, R.I. The women begin at 11:00 AM, while men start at 12:00 PM.
