RADZIK TAKES TOP HONORS AGAIN FOR BRYANT WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY; BRYANT MEN PLACE SECOND AT ST. ANSELM
MANCHESTER, NH - Senior cross country standout Nicole Radzik (Sutton, Mass.) captured her second-straight overall title in two meets so far this fall season, leading the Bryant women's team to a third place finish at Saturday's 26th running of the Shacklette Invitational at St. Anselm College. Radzik, who was first overall last week at Amherst, won Saturday's meet in a time of 19 minutes, 18 seconds. Freshman Jennifer Denise was 11th in 21:44 while Casey Fenwick and Lindsey Tunak finished 16th and 18th respectively.
On the men's side, sophomore standout Nathaniel Green of York, Maine placed fourth overall in leading the Bryant men to a second place finish. Green finished the 8-kilometer course in a time of 27:55. Thomas Casey earned a top-10 finish by placing 8th in 28:10.
The Bulldogs scored big points with a strong pack by claiming spots 12 through 16 to give the Bryant 51 points, just one point behind overall winner Merrimack College which placed first with 50 points.
Bryant will host the annual Bryant Invitational next Saturday.
