SMITHFIELD, R.I. –
Julie Diderich notched her first goal of the season but Cornell used three fourth-quarter goals to earn a 4-1 victory over the Bryant field hockey team on Sunday afternoon at Cowen Field.
With the loss, the Bulldogs fall to 2-8 overall. Bryant returns to Cowen Field next Friday-Sunday for games against UAlbany and Merrimack.

- Julia Ramsey scored twice less than a minute apart to give the Big Red a 3-1 lead in the fourth quarter.
First Quarter

- Bryant and Cornell played to a scoreless third quarter despite the Big Red collecting three penalty corners.
Fourth Quarter
- Cornell's pressure finally paid off as Ramsey scored on consecutive penalty corners less than a minute apart. She tipped home her first goal to make it 2-1 and then finished off a rebound to make it 3-1.
- Vivienne Mueller converted a stroke to close the scoring.
Bryant Notes and Notables
- Sara DeSousa finished with 10 saves in cage.
- Dwyer picked up her first career assist and also posted a pair of defensive saves.
- Diderich's goal was the first of her Bryant career.
