SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Senior Pat McKenna (Orange, Conn.) set a Bryant University baseball record, playing in his 211th career game against Le Moyne College on Saturday, but the Bulldogs fell, 4-3 and 10-3 in the doubleheader. Bryant has now lost seven-straight contests to fall to 26-17, and will play two more against the Dolphins on Sunday.

Game 1
Chris Edmondson hit a leadoff, walk-off home run off of Bryant reliever Mark Andrews (Hillsborough, N.J.) to lift the Dolphins to the dramatic, 4-3, extra-inning win in game one of the twin bill. Edmondson was seven-for-nine in the two contests, scoring five runs to help Le Moyne to the sweep.

Bryant jumped out to the first lead of the game, as Jordan English (Windsor Locks, Conn.) grounded a single through the right side that scored Jeff Vigurs (South Windsor, Conn.) from second to take a 1-0 lead. Vigurs had two hits in each game, going four-for-seven on the day.

Le Moyne responded with two runs in the bottom of the inning off of Bulldog starter Kevin Cobb (Acton, Mass.). Matt Marra tied the game with a solo home run in the frame, and Dan Sisto gave the Dolphins the 2-1 lead with a run-scoring double.

Cobb was solid on the mound, allowing three runs on six hits in seven innings while striking out four on his way to the no-decision. He remains 6-0 on the year.

The Bulldogs reclaimed the lead with a run in the third and another in the fourth to take the 3-2 advantage. McKenna knotted the game up with a solo blast down the line in right in the third, giving the senior a team-best 11 long balls on the year. Vigurs scored the other run, singling to start the inning then advancing around to third on a sacrifice and a ground out before crossing the plate on a passed ball.

An infield single by Sean Paino in the bottom of the sixth with the bases loaded knotted the game at 3-3. Dolphin starter Sean Tardiff helped the lead stand-up going nine innings before giving way to Luke Nellis in the tenth.

Nick Laude (Wells, Maine) replaced Cobb in eight, going 1.1 innings while allowing no runs on one hit. Andrews relieved Laude in the ninth, taking over with the bases loaded and one out. The sophomore got a strike out and a ground out to get out of the jam, leaving the winning run 90-feet away.

Bryant went 1-2-3 in the top of the tenth before Edmondson led off the tenth with the game-winning shot.

Game 2
In the nightcap, Le Moyne scored three runs in the first against Bryant starter Dan Lozeau (Pelham, N.H.) to take an early 3-0 lead that they would not let go of, as they went on to the 10-3 victory.

Edmondson helped add on another run with his second home run of the day, this one another solo blast in the bottom of the third that extended the lead to 4-0. Brett Bostford and Chris Haynes also went deep in the game, helping add on three runs in the fourth to put Le Moyne up 7-0 after four frames of action.

Bryant got on the board in the top of the fifth, scoring a run after Jamie Skagerlind (Holden, Mass.) grounded into a double play with the bases loaded and no one out that plated Pat O'Connor (Mattapoisett, Mass.). O'Connor had his 14-game hitting streak snapped in the first game on the doubleheader, but went one-for-two in game two.

After the Dolphins tacked on three runs in the bottom of the sixth, Bryant put together a rally in the seventh, scoring two runs on a two out single by Tim Norton (Barnstable, Mass.) to cut the deficit to 10-3. But that would be where to score would stand as the Bulldogs fell, 10-3, in seven innings.

Bryant looks to snap their seven-game losing streak on Sunday when they play two more with the Dolphins starting at 12 p.m.
