The team has many familiar faces from the 2017 campaign, but there are two new additions to the Bulldog roster: Pia Klupp (Hamburg, Germany) and Casey Wheeler (Cape Town, South Africa).

Sophomore back Floor van Dommelen (Berg en Dal, Netherlands) was named First Team All-MAAC, while senior Keighan Richardson (North Attleboro, Mass.) and junior Victoria Newbill (Wilton, Maine) received second-team selections.

    SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University field hockey closes out the regular season with two games this weekend. The Bulldogs will play host to Monmouth on Friday before traveling to Loudonville, N.Y. to take on Siena on Sunday. Friday’s game will be played at 4 p.m. and will include Bryant’s senior day ceremony, while Saturday’s game is slated for a 1 p.m. start.

    PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Freshman goalkeeper Lyndsay Swanston (Burlington, Ontario) stopped all two shots on goal and sophomore Freya Ward (Haywards Heath, West Sussex, England) scored a goal on a re-directed shot as the Bryant University field hockey team topped Rider, 1-0, in the opening game of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference schedule on Friday afternoon in Providence.

    SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University field hockey will play its Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference opener on Friday when they host Rider for a 4 p.m. matchup at Goldberger Family Field in Providence. After the game against the Broncs, the Bulldogs head south to Philadelphia to play Drexel in a non-conference matchup with the Dragons on Sunday. That game is scheduled for a Noon start.

    SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University field hockey celebrates Bryant Homecoming and Reunion Weekend with a pair of home games, first taking on Vermont on Friday at 4 p.m. and then Colgate on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Catamounts and Bulldogs will play at Goldberger Family Field, while Colgate and Bryant will meet at Providence College in a home game for the Bulldogs.

The game was played at Goldberger Family Field in Providence.
