    SMITHFIELD, R.I. –The Bryant University men’s and women’s swim teams return to action this afternoon, as the Black and Gold travel north for the inaugural Dartmouth Invitational at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center in White River Junction, VT. The event starts Friday at 5 p.m. with five events, and will continue on Saturday at 10 a.m. The two-day meet consists of four teams besides Bryant; Dartmouth, Maine, UMass, and Boston College.

  • BRYANT MEN’S SWIMMING FALLS TO PROVIDENCE AND BROWN IN TRI-MEET

    SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men’s swimming team dropped to Providence College, 109.50-110.50, and Brown University, 61.00-153.00, over the weekend in a tri-meet held at Providence, moving the squad to 1-5 overall on the season. Despite the loss, Bryant generated a first-place finish in the 200m freestyle relay and saw a handful of solid performances. The lineup of Alex Kosenski (Lavallette, N.J.), Logan Hammerstein (Fairfield Township, Ohio), Derek Hawkes (Westbrook, Maine) and Nicholas Karadimas (New Milford, Conn.) touched the wall first in the 200m freestyle relay with a time of 1:39.92, nearly two three seconds faster than second place.

    SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Freshman Nicholas Karadimas (New Milford, Conn.) made an impressive debut in his first home meet as a member of the Bryant University men’s swim team as he took top honors in three events to pace the Bulldogs past visiting Maine, 146-116, at the Chace Athletic Center Friday night.

    SMITHFIELD, R.I. – After falling to Boston College in the season opener, the Bryant University men’s swimming team came up short against Boston University, 155.0 to 127.0, and the University of Maine, 163.0 to 124.50, over the weekend in the team’s first tri-meet of the season.

    SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men’s swimming team opened its 2010 season with a strong showing against Boston College over the weekend, capturing six of 14 events. Despite the solid performance, the Bulldogs dropped the dual match, 137-114, to the Eagles.

    SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bulldogs will be welcoming back their alumni October 8-10, 2010 to celebrate Homecoming & Reunion Weekend, an event that is highlighted by the football team’s 1 p.m. game against Northeast Conference rival Sacred Heart at Bulldog Stadium. Varsity games for six different teams as well as activities for alumni will take place throughout the weekend.
