Coach Biggs' Comments
"I thought our team started the game very well and worked hard for the entire 90 minutes. We'll have to keep working to create more clear-cut chances to score as we head towards the next game."
After they were able to steal possession back, Jackson Bennett fired a shot towards goal that deflected off a Bryant defender, then grazed the inside of the left post and rolled across the goal line to give FDU the lead.
58th minute – Fairleigh Dickinson 1, Bryant 0 – Elma Kolenovic was able to win the ball back and play it into the box for Bennett, who sent a far post shot off a Bryant defender's back that sent it back towards the near post. It softly hit the pole and then slowly rolled into the net.
- Bryant finished with a slight edge in the shot department, with 12 to FDU's 11.
- Both keepers, sophomore Meghan Dalton (West Hartford, Conn.) for Bryant and Amanda Fitzgerald for FDU, finished with four saves.
- Junior Caitlyn Linden (Newtown, Conn.) and sophomore Amanda Spitaleri (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) led the Bulldogs with three shots each today. Linden put two on frame, also a team high.
The Bulldogs head to New Britain, Conn. on Friday night for a bout with the league leaders, Central Connecticut, at 4 p.m.
