VOLLEYBALL TAKES OUT HOWARD, 3-1, IN FIRST GAME OF HALLOWEEN CLASSIC

NEWARK, NJ - The Bulldogs rolled past Howard 3-1 Friday evening, 3-1, behind double-digit kills from Hillary Andrews (Tipp City, Ohio), Jazmin Stoner (Durango, Colo.), and Maria Scocca (Melrose, Mass.) to pick up their 16th win of the season.

Bryant (16-13) fell behind early, as Howard rolled past the Bulldogs 25-14 in the first set. But, behind 19 kills from Andrews, the squad continued to fight back to win three hard-fought games to take down the win.

Down one game to none, Bryant would win the next three by scores of 25-23, 26-24, and 25-22.  

Julie Geonnotti (St. Louis Park, Minn.) came up big as the setter, dishing out 28 assists in the contest. Stoner put up a double-double with her 11 kill, 14 dig performance, while senior co-captain Delia Glover (Marston Mills, Mass.) led the team with 22 digs. Scocca would finish with 10 kills, five digs and three block assists.

The Bulldogs will continue play at the NJIT Halloween Classic with two contests tomorrow against Providence College (10 a.m.) and host NJIT (12 p.m.).
